F.A.Q.

The update process is very demanding from transfer speed point of view.
We know that it doesn’t work well with some memory stick models, even if the same memory stick works correctly for other operations.

USB memory sticks world is very complicated and „variegated”.
There’s a lot of different models and sometimes very strange things happen, like, for instance, that newer models work worse than older models.

We had problems, for instance, with Kingston DT G3 series, while the previous Kingston DT R3.0 G2 works perfectly.
Another model that works well is SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0.

The format requested for USB memory stick is FAT32.

What we can suggest is to try with other memory sticks that you have available or one of above suggested mod

The Serial Number is in the adhesive label situated under the keyboard. It is a number like 000xxxxx.

Dexibell provides free additional sounds in the “My Dexibell” (Download) section of Dexibell website. These sounds are in proprietary Dexibell format (.dxs).

Dexibell instruments can load also sounds in SoundFont format (.sf2). There are many websites providing .sf2 sounds, free of charge or for a fee.

Please remind that if you are using a software version earlier than 4.01, you have to put the additional sounds in a subdirectory of your USB memory named „\Sound”.

We removed this constrain from Ver. 4.01 on, so, if this is the problem, we suggest you to update your instrument to the latest software version and try again.

Some of the sounds available on our website require an updated software version.

Please update the instrument to the latest software version and try again.

There’s no need to backup internal sounds on external memory. Removed internal sounds are not lost. It is possible to restore them at will, provided that you have enough memory space.

You can get profit of the Sound Setup function that allows you to save on USB memory different configurations of sound memory and recall them at will.

Because you can use the on board effects to create your own variations in real time and save your preferred ones into Memories.

Dexibell T2L Edit function provides sound edit capabilities specific for each type of sound, so that you can modify the sounds according to your need or taste and save the modified sounds into Memories.

Platinum sounds are tones having a superior and uncompromised sound quality that Dexibell developed to improve the already high quality of its sounds. You can import the Platinum sounds using the Sound Library function, provided that you make room for them into wave memory, deleting some of the internal sounds.

Virtual Damper simulates the presence of a damper pedal even if you don’t have it connected.
When it is active, an hold on note works as a „sustain on” message and all played notes are sustained, until all the pressed keys are released.

Memories have their own MIDI channel and settings. You can check them into Menu->MIDI->Reception/Transmission->Memory.

There’s plenty of real-time controllers on board. Please check the video to see how to manage them.

Yes. You can adjust a lot of parameters for each multi-effect and save sounds with modified effects into Memories. Check the video to see some examples.

T2L (True to Life) parameters give dedicated controls allowing to modify specific characteristics of each sound. See in the videos how they can affect sounds like Acoustic and Electric Pianos.

Platinum Sound Libraries are providing no-compromise top-quality versions of Dexibell sounds.
The Platinum sounds are going over the already high quality level of Dexibell tones to give the maximum realism and closeness to the original acoustic instruments.
You can check by yourself in the videos what we are talking about.

The Master Tune parameter allows you to finely adjust the tuning of your Dexibell instrument and align the intonation in a wide range around the standard A = 440 Hz.

The Backup function allows you to save on USB memory all the settings of your instrument with a single command.
Backup files can be used to restore settings that you may have accidentally modified or to save different global configurations of your instrument and recall them at will or to port your settings into another Dexibell instrument unit, provided that it is your same model.

Master EQ is the answer to your request. It allows you to equalize the global instrument output to compensate lack in some frequency ranges or specific resonances in the amplification system or in the ambient acoustic response of the environment in which you are playing.

You can connect an external audio source via Bluetooth or using the Audio In socket, listen it through your instrument and play together with it, if you want.
The internal Audio Recorder function allows you to record on USB memory what you are playing on the instrument. You can also make new recordings playing on top of a previously recorded song (overdub) and/or mix your real-time playing with an external audio source connected to the instrument.
